Nasri Atallah

Nasri was born in London on a rainy day in November. Well, clearly it must have been raining, since he recalls 22 years of rain while living there. Nasri moved to Beirut twice: first, at the age of 15, when he thought Lebanon cool because it was a semi-lawless playground where he learnt to speak Arabic. The second time around, at the age of 26, was way less cool, since by that time he’d grown fond of law and order. With time, he had learned to prefer polite queuing to semi-lawless playgrounds. Before finally admitting to himself that he’d like to write for a living, Nasri tried his hand at oil and gas research, wealth management, the United Nations and advertising. He currently lives in Beirut, writing and editing, but makes it a point to escape town every three months for a quarterly dose of somewhere else.
